On a secluded island inhabited by women and boys lives Nicolas, a restless child who explores the world around him. Once sailing around the island, Nicolas notices the lifeless body of a child who died under apparently suspicious circumstances. Having told about the incident to his mother (Julie-Marie Parmentier), he does not find support from her and decides to find out the truth on his own, but the ruling female elite is in no hurry to share secrets. Instead, Nicolas is placed under the supervision of the medical service, conducting some suspicious experiments. Without female support, Nicolas has no chance to get out safe and sound, but in a world where the once weaker sex rules, feelings of compassion have not yet had time to dissolve into obscurity, and the boy still has a chance for salvation in the form of nurse Stella (Roxane Duran).
