Elizabeth McGovern "Johnny Handsome" (1989)
John was born with a mutilated face, this and hard childhood made him criminal. During the armed robbery, he and his friend Mikey have been deceived by partners. Mikey was killed, and Johnny went to jail. In prison Johnny has been involved in a program to correct skull defects, he receives a new, very nice and charming face and eventually he gets released under an amnesty. But Johnny can't forget Mikey and still wants to take revenge on his friend's killers. What determines a person's life path? Certainly, their upbringing, the environment they were born into, and their genetics. But does a person's appearance matter? Does it influence their fate? In many cases, it absolutely does! After all, a beautiful person has additional opportunities because they are liked by others, and thus involuntarily attract others. An ugly person, on the other hand, repulses people with their appearance, inspiring mistrust and disgust. Although they may be very good and kind. But people automatically cast ugly people as social outcasts, considering them inferior. And these monstrosities often have no choice but to become the very scum they are labeled as. Is it possible to change a person's soul by changing their face? If we correct the physical deformities that make a person an outcast and, consequently, a villain, will we also change their negative essence, which drives them to crime?
Before kissing a guy, naked Elizabeth McGovern tells him that she likes his eyes.
