Germany, 1944, World War II is heading toward its climax. The German authorities realize they can no longer win the war militarily. Therefore, they undertake a desperate and daring attempt to undermine the economies of the United States and Britain by dumping huge quantities of high-quality counterfeits on these countries' markets, which will tear them apart from within. Solomon Sorowitsch, a recidivist, counterfeiter, womanizer, and cynic who adapts to the Nazi regime without the slightest attempt to understand the regime being established in the country, heads the production. Why a Jew? Because the Nazis will then be able to eliminate them without a trace, covering their tracks. All the workers in the workshop are formed into a separate unit. They are well fed, given comfortable beds, and even free time and weekends.
Marie Baumer poses naked for an artist, lying on a fur rug.
Dolores Chaplin, wearing a transparent bra, asks her lover about his tattoo.
