The story of the Broschi brothers. The elder is a mediocre composer, Riccardo, and the younger is a brilliant vocalist, Carlo, nicknamed Farinelli the Castrato. Beginning with street competitions with musicians, both achieve incredible popularity. The stages of the royal theaters, dominated by Carlo's magical voice, are literally awash with admirers.
