Betty is an ordinary bank employee. She begins a casual relationship with Mike, a low-level tennis player who sells cocaine on the side. Their relationship is superficial, and Betty knows little about Mike's true lifestyle. One day, Mike fails to show up for a meeting with Betty. Soon, she learns devastating news: Mike has been murdered. Shocked by her lover's death, Betty decides to find out for herself who killed Mike and why. Mike's friend, Pete, helps her.
