Marion has separated from Jack and is living in a New York apartment with her new boyfriend, Mingus. Everything in her life is going well -work, family, home. This continues until her family arrives from France. The arrival of Marion's rather eccentric father, her sister Rose (Alexia Landeau), and her ex-boyfriend leads to a rather explosive situation that is far from easy to cope with. Marion sells her soul. Now she fears losing her feelings, feels as if something inside her has truly disappeared, and suffers a nervous breakdown. In an attempt to fix everything, she tries to help a pigeon stuck on the roof, risking her own life, which her husband even interprets as a suicide attempt.
