Retired police officer Dave, known for his tough personality, moved to a quiet spot on the bayou, started his own business, quit drinking, and was quietly enjoying life with his wife until he witnessed a mysterious plane crash, a burning plane crashed into the bay. Dave managed to save the little girl he and his wife had adopted. However, it turned out that the crash killed a courier working for a drug dealer Dave had known since childhood. To make matters worse, the courier turned out to be an FBI agent. So, both organizations honored Dave's home with visits, and Dave, trying to protect his family, begins his own investigation.
