A truck is driving along a night road. After a minor road incident, several barrels fall from the truck's trailer onto the road. Claire (Sabine Azema), who came to visit her ex-husband, finds dead frogs at the well and her husband in a deplorable state, coughing up blood. A little later, Claire's house burns down. Perhaps these events are connected? The consequences of an environmental emergency in a French village are aggravated by the desire of the culprits - one of the large corporations - to hide their tracks, even at the cost of human lives. Claire does not want to put up with a situation where the authorities indulge this and are indifferent to the people's misfortune.
