At the very beginning of the 19th century, there lived in Spanish America a wealthy and prosperous young landowner named Simon Bolivar. He could have lived happily ever after, amassing wealth, but there was something otherworldly about him. Moreover, his childhood teacher had been a revolutionary democratic one, named Maestro. So, in time, this gentleman began a struggle for the freedom of all the inhabitants of the mainland from the Spanish yoke. He fought long and hard, with varying success, and even naively accepted the help and money of his friends in the form of nascent British imperialism, which was hostile to Spain and wanted not just freedom, but something quantifiable and storeable in heavy coffers. The idealistic Bolivar refused the brazen overseas creditors' far-reaching economic plans. The consequences of this refusal affected Bolivar immediately.
