Brother Oscar and sister Linda (Paz de la Huerta) live in Tokyo and have very tender feelings for each other, sometimes perhaps even too tender. Their parents died long ago in a car accident, so the dim-witted teenagers, just over 18, are left to their own devices. Since neither of them wants to work, Oscar deals drugs, while Linda dances in a bar, stripping naked, and sometimes gets screwed by the local manager. During one raid, local drug cops, while trying to arrest the drug-dealing brother, put a bullet in his chest; he, naturally, kicks the bucket. And then Oscar's intangible part begins to unravel. Since he made a childhood promise to his sister to always be with her, even taking a blood oath, he is forced to keep it.
