Mia Kirshner, Polly Shannon, Ruth Marshall, Joanne Vannicola "Love & Human Remains" (1993)

Men and women, decked out in makeup, as if that were a surefire way to attract attention, loiter in nightclubs (in fact, they lead an almost exclusively nocturnal existence). They dabble in alcohol, marijuana, or harder drugs, snack on rice crackers and pizza, and seek sexual gratification through various perversions. The young women frequent the gym to build muscle, occasionally striking up relationships with other women, the young men, meanwhile, either drift aimlessly on their own or entangle themselves in pseudo-romantic affairs with other men, sometimes even with ex girlfriends. Sadomasochistic games, in which a woman typically takes the role of the dominant partner, unfold against a backdrop of unsettling reports, a genuine maniac is on the loose in the city, murdering women and taking one of their earrings as a souvenir each time. In this vast empire of consumption, now spiraling toward its twilight, it is all but impossible not to lose one’s mind.
A guy tears the bra off Mia Kirshner and struggles with her.
Ruth Marshall looks at illustrations in a magazine while lying naked on the bed.

Lying naked after sex, Joanne Vannicola tells her girlfriend it is time to sleep.
