John is a journalist and spends his entire life on the move. He chats with colleagues, hangs out with his girlfriend (Marianna Hill), or simply stands at the stadium. He strives to capture the elusive feeling of freedom. He covers traffic accidents, crime, and street protests. At first, John maintains a professional detachment, interested only in the spectacular shot and not the ethical side of the events. A turning point comes when John learns that the television company is secretly passing on footage to the FBI. This provokes him into rebellion, and soon he loses his job.
