It's a post-apocalyptic world, and the most valuable resource in this world is water. A small settlement of cardboard houses in the rocky desert, presumably where Los Angeles was wiped off the face of the Earth, where there's water and the population grows fruit and berries, is visited by a very nasty bandit with his gang of bandits, demanding tribute. The village leader goes to town and finds a wise warrior of light named Michael. For a cup of rice and a canister of water, he and his friends agree to defend the settlement. Not everyone will survive this war.
