Antoine is a chronically down-on-his-luck man. Meanwhile, the hotel is in disarray, and the director becomes smitten with a stripper (Jane Birkin) and eventually runs away with her. Thus, Antoine briefly finds himself in charge, both in business and in his personal life, while Cecile is now romantically involved with him.
