Eliza Dushku "The Alphabet Killer" (2008)

A forensic psychologist (Eliza Dushku) encounters the murder of a young girl. While analyzing the circumstances of the murder, she experiences visions, the victim appears to her, begging her to find the killer. The victim's first and last names, along with the name of the locale where the murder occurred, all begin with the same letter. The woman makes it her duty and honor to solve the crime, but suffers several setbacks. Frustrated, she attempts suicide. Six months pass. She attends a psychological support group, where she befriends the organizer, a wheelchair-bound man. She is suspended from her job. Out of regret, her superiors allow her to take the position of statistics inspector. Once again, the social idyll is shaken by the murder of a teenage girl under circumstances similar to the first murder, the initials of the first name and the locale also match. The woman is admitted to the investigation as a consultant.
