There's no way to prepare yourself for the death of your three-year-old son. There's no way to force yourself to move on as if nothing had happened. So all the residents of the small town of Angel Crest are faced with the consequences of a sudden catastrophe. Each of them tries to cope in their own way. Someone, like the child's mother (Lynn Collins), finds no better way than to simply drown out the pain with alcohol. And someone, like local womanizer Rusty, begins to realize that if he had acted differently on that fateful day, the tragedy could have been avoided.
