Ben is an ordinary German teenager with academic and behavioral issues, living with divorced parents and a mother who is constantly away on tour. He barely sees his father, a famous theater director, until the latter invites him to Marrakech for the premiere of his new play. As soon as the teenager arrives in Morocco, he goes on a wild ride. Weed, drinking spots, hanging out with gay men, and meeting a local prostitute (Hafsia Herzi). His father tries to connect with him, but only pushes him further away, forcing him to run away with a new girlfrend deep into the country.
