Very often, the desires and actions of a sane person can pass for madness. In pursuit of new experiences, they can harm not only themselves but also those around them. If a mundane and boring existence is starting to become quite tiresome, why not try adding a little zest to it? For McMurphy, a seasoned professional slacker, that zest was a state-funded stay in a psychiatric hospital. Interacting with mentally ill people can significantly lift their spirits and add variety to their personal life, so, posing as a madman, McMurphy, albeit with difficulty, finally gains admittance to a psychiatric hospital as a patient. From the very first day, McMurphy's arrival radically changes the atmosphere within the hospital. In a relatively short period, he establishes a rapport with almost every inhabitant of the mad house, whether patient or staff member. But there was one person who didn't share McMurphy's behavior, a nurse named Miss Ratched. Soon, a real war breaks out between them, with the stakes quite high, the life of every patient in the ward.
