A group of tourists is lost deep in the desert. They are the victims of a disaster, and in their current situation, a quick, painless death is not the worst option. Tragic circumstances lead them to a dead end, a place where not only the road but also the very possibility of returning to their former lives is cut off. Around them lies a dilapidated and abandoned mining village, where, among the sand-covered houses that resemble the skeletons of living quarters, a living man is suddenly discovered. But he can only be called alive, in part. Living out his days in this more than terrifying place, this man has come to resemble a detached mummy, a creature no longer belonging to the world of the living.
