Without friends, family, a home of her own, or any prospects, Jane (Anna Faris) is in limbo, unmoored and adrift (and the Ferris wheel has nothing to do with it). At times, it seems her panic is drug-induced, but only at times, if anything, the drugs are the only thing she can actually keep a grip on. She is trying to break free from the confines of the inner world she built for herself with weed, yet she cannot find common ground with the outside world, a place where she no longer has any control.
