Caroline (Clio Goldsmith) is tired of living with her husband, who is a minister in the French government. She meets a handsome institute teacher, Serge. Serge is also not opposed to parting with his wife and abandoning the old, boring way of life. Caroline and Serge decide to run south to Spain together.
