Natasha Richardson, Dana Delany "Patty Hearst" (1988)

Patricia Hearst (Natasha Richardson) is kidnapped by members of a radical group. She is held captive, subjected to physical and psychological abuse, including being kept blindfolded in a closet. Over a long period of time, the kidnappers "condition" her, introducing her to the group's ideology, threatening, and manipulating her. Gradually, Patty begins to identify with her captors. Influenced by traumatic experiences and brainwashing techniques, Patty not only accepts the aggressors terms but actively joins the group. As part of the group, Patty participates in armed robberies, including bank robberies. She poses for propaganda photos with weapons and records statements for the media. The group commits a series of crimes, evades the police, and moves from city to city. Eventually, some of the group members are arrested, including Patty. A naked Natasha Richardson washes herself in a red-walled bathroom while listening to a lecture from a terrorist.
